Teen Star is Sharing the Love for AGAPE

We are pleased to announce this campaign has raised nearly $106,000 for AGAPE! In addition to First Columbia Bank's initial $25,000 donation and $25,000 matching donation, our community added another $55,962.13 to support AGAPE (as of 5/22/20). Thank you for your support!

Share the Love Campaign

First Columbia Bank has donated $25,000 to AGAPE to kick off a month-long campaign, in conjunction with Teen Star, to raise funding for this local mission devoted to helping those in need across our communities. During this period we will also match all donations dollar for dollar, up to another $25,000. We invite our community, local businesses, and Teen Stars alike to follow the 2020 Teen Star Event online and make your donation to AGAPE between now and the Teen Star announcement of winners on Sunday, May 24th.  This means, in addition to the $25,000 initial donation, there is a potential for AGAPE to receive $75,000 over the course of this campaign if individuals and businesses contribute as well.

A Message from President & CEO Lance Diehl

We are honored to be in a position to help those who help others in our community. We feel so fortunate to have an organization like AGAPE and are grateful for the good work they do. We know there is a sense of urgency with the current situation and that people are suffering and need help now, which is why we initiated this campaign.  As would be expected, AGAPE reports they are experiencing a significant increase in people seeking help, and the organization is in dire need of donations to continue their work.

In prior years, First Columbia donated ticket proceeds from the Teen Star finale to the finalistsí high school music departments, and over the past nine years the program has generated more than $45,000 in donations for the schools. This year, given the immense financial hardships people in our community are facing due to the coronavirus pandemic, and given there will be no live performance and audience, we decided to use our virtual Teen Star musical competition as a platform to spread the word about the needs of AGAPE and encourage  our community of Teen Star fans to donate.

Thank you for considering a donation to this worthy cause at this moment in time when our community needs the kind of help and support that AGAPE provides.

AGAPE is a Bloomsburg-based mission that serves people in need within our communities, providing food, housing, clothing, financial and rehabilitation assistance programs. Their aim is to to fill the gaps which is currently exist between people in need and the community services available to assist them.

Thank You for Supporting Our Youth and AGAPE!
