First Columbia Teen Star Donates to Local Schools

Bloomsburg, PA – Following the 12th Annual First Columbia Teen Star Musical Competition, Southern Columbia High School was awarded with the coveted Teen Star traveling trophy. Southern Columbia’s Dylan Kramer, joined the hall of fame as this year’s 2022 Teen Star winner. Each year, the traveling trophy resides at the winner’s school for the duration of the school year until another Teen Star winner is selected. Southern Columbia garnered the top vocalist award for the first time this year, followed by their last instrumental victory in 2016.

The music departments at the five area high schools represented by a Teen Star finalist received a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales. 505 tickets were sold this year, with proceeds totaling nearly $2,700. Since its debut in 2011, First Columbia Bank has donated nearly $48,000 to the schools from ticket proceeds and awarded another $55,000 in prize money to the finalists.
